This artwork was commissioned by the Mayor of Puertecitos, Clara Orozco, and installed for the City of Puertecitos at the entrance gate to the resort town. The sculpture is in a sense a shrine to the wild habitat that thrives in Puertecitos which includes a great variety of birds and many varieties of pelicans. Clara Orozco in collaboration with artist Sergey Gornushkin are working on creating an environmental protection message through large-scale public art to make everyone aware of the importance of a thriving ecosystem.
